Katleynn and Matt

Remember Kate and Matt from their engagement session with their adorable goldendoodle June? They were married last month in a gorgeous ceremony at Top O’The Hill in Montgomery, Texas. We are sad to say that theirs was the last wedding to take place at Top O’The Hill as the location is no longer an operating wedding venue. The scenery, paired with Kate’s amazing sense of style and personal touches, made for one breathtaking day! Read below to learn more about Kate’s vision for her big day.

From the Bride:

“Our goldendoodle, June was a part of our big day. Our wedding day was rustic romantic meets a little modern elegance. Our venue was very unique. The ceremony was on the top of a hill over looking the beautiful Texas countryside.  All our ceremony music was sang/played by a family friend-  ‘All Those Pretty Lights’ by Andrew Belle, ‘To The Ends of The Earth’ by Lord Huron and ‘Hey Ho’ by The Lumineers. I hand made the string of streamers that lined the back row of chairs, as well as the ones behind the cake table.  My wedding dress was a one of a kind, made by a very talented Houston designer/friend, David Peck. Our cocktail hour/dancing was inside a barn, Texas dance hall style. Our first dance was to ‘She’s Like Texas’ by the Josh Abbott Band. We are big Texas country music fans and love traveling to festivals and dance halls to watch our favorite bands play. Our table centerpieces were in wooden flower boxes that my dad made from an old fence. Our table arrangements included potted greenery that we planted in our garden afterwards. We had a DIY photo booth where guests took mini polaroid pictures in front of canvases hand painted by me.  We special ordered Great Divide’s ‘Hoss Rye Lager’ from Colorado as a featured drink at our bar (my new last name is Hoss).  At the end we exited in my Dad’s red1956 Ford F150, which he has had since I was a little girl.”
